Feline Infectious Peritonitis is horrible.
Nikki is dying a slow death and despite her not seeming to be in pain, the vet says nothing can be done.
She is emaciated to the point her body is eating itself - her muscles are almost non-existent, and has lost muscle function in one leg.
She has eye lesions, and can only see large color areas, or motion.
She is incontinent, and unable to metabolize nutrients - the reason for the emaciation.
Her blood vessels are leaking plasma into the abdominal cavity.
I can’t justify euthanasia since she doesn’t seem to have pain. I can’t make her understand, can’t talk to her about it.
I can do nothing but watch, and it hurts worse because of that.
